Simón Gaviria Muñoz is an economist with extensive experience in the public sector and in the development of economic policy. He served as Director of Colombia’s National Planning Department and as President of the Chamber of Representatives of Colombia. He has played a key role in the design and promotion of landmark initiatives such as the Simplified Stock Corporation (SAS) Law, the Factoring Law, and the Insolvency Law, all aimed at improving Colombia’s business environment. His career has focused on economic development, competitiveness, and institutional strengthening, with broad experience in fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors.
