María Inés Brandt
María Inés Brandt is a partner of Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal Tax Department with more than 20 years’ experience in tax matters. She focuses on tax advice and planning and has outstanding expertise in the tax aspects of large, challenging corporate and finance transactions, including the design, planning and organization of tax-efficient transactions. She is also an expert in complex tax litigation. Before joining Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal, she was a founding partner at Tanoira Cassagne Abogados and a partner at Estudio Beccar Varela.
María Inés is recognized as a leading tax lawyer by all the key legal publications, including Chambers Global, Chambers Latin America, Legal 500 and LL250. A client quoted in Chambers Latin America 2015 that she is "outstanding because she provides a service tailored to our needs…she is driven by results and has strong technical knowledge, evidenced in her practical advice”. She was awarded the "ILO Client Choice Award" as the best Argentine lawyer in the area of Corporate Tax in 2012, 2016 and 2017.
She is a member of the Argentine Fiscal Association and regularly contributes articles to well-known legal publications. She has been invited as speaker to various conferences on matters related to her area of specialization.
She graduated with honors from the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1993 and specialized in Tax Law in 1995 at the same university.
