Javier Diaz de Leon is Tax Partner at Cuatrecasas (Mexico) and responsable of the Latam Tax Practice for Colombia, Chile and Peru. Javier has over 18 years’ experience advising on national and international tax-related matters, including M&A, financial instruments, corporate restructuring, and private client. Before joining Cuatrecasas, he was a partner at EY Mexico and worked as a foreign associate for leading US law firms in New York and Dallas.
Javier received his LL.M. in International Taxation at NYU. He was former President of the International Tax Committee of the IMCP. Member of IFA Mexico and Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados. Professor in the Master Program of ITAM.
He is co-author of the book “BEPS, Coherence, Substance and Transparency” (Thomson Reuters). Editor of Mexico’s Investment Funds Chapter for the IBFD. Javier also speaks on his specialty areas at different forums.
