Diego Polenghi

Mr. Diego Polenghi joined International Planning Group as the Miami-based Managing Director for Latin America in January of 2012 after more than 20 years of private banking and wealth management experience. Mr. Polenghi is responsible for developing IPG’s institutional relationships, managing its planning consultants, regional marketing and general oversight of the Latin America operations.

Prior to joining IPG, Mr. Polenghi held several positions within the private banking world, including Head of Sales, Private Banking Americas for Standard Charter Bank in Miami.


Mr. Polenghi began his career at Credit Suisse in Zurich, Switzerland, as an investment advisor and later became a private banking associate in Switzerland, and the United States (Los Angeles and New York). He then joined their senior management team as the U.S. Head of Private Banking, Latin America, based in New York. During 2000 and 2009, he worked for UBS Global Executive Group in New York, Beta Capital Management in Miami, and Banque Privee BCP (Suisse) S.A. in Geneva.

Outside of business, his interests include becoming more fully engaged in a number of civic organizations in the Miami community.


Mr. Polenghi is a graduate of the University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich (HWZ) where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Economics. He is married with three children and lives in Coral Gables.
