Based in New York, Allan leads the firm’s Digital Communications practice; assisting clients to develop and implement strategies to help build and maintain digital resilience. Recognising that the digital world continues to grow in importance for our clients, Allan’s work is primarily focused on Big Tech, online privacy, and online resilience. He has worked with numerous clients seeking to enforce their rights in respect of Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other Big Tech, social media and online companies. With a background in commercial, media, privacy and intellectual property litigation, Allan has a wealth of experience in managing and responding to a wide range of high-profile and complex crisis situations. He specialises in harnessing the power of Schillings’ multi-disciplinary teams to identify and mitigate risks to privacy, security, reputation and confidential information. Allan has developed and led significant transformational strategies and counselled clients to overcome the effects of a crisis. Allan is also a frequent commentator on issues including the regulation of Big Tech, the Online Safety Bill, and social media privacy, with his opinions featured in publications such as The Times, Newsweek, The Guardian, The Independent, and by The University of Oxford Centre for Corporate Reputation.
