Ricardo Romero
Dr. Ricardo Romero is Vice President of The Winterbotham Trust Company in Business Development and Head of its Latin American Department at the Montevideo office. Before joining Winterbotham in 2010, he practiced in a prestigious law firm in Uruguay as a Lawyer specialized in international businesses and tax and succession planning, mainly for clients in South America. He is Full member of STEP and the current Chair of the STEP Branch South America. He was member of the advisor committee of STEP LatAm Conference in Montevideo (2013) and has attended and supported all LatAm Conferences since the first one in Panama (2011). Lawyer and Notary Public from the Universidad de la Republica of Uruguay, he holds an LLM in International Legal Studies from the Georgetown University Law Center (Washington D.C.), an MBA from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (Rio de Janeiro) and a Degree in Business Administration by the Universidad ORT Uruguay. He has also obtained the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management and the STEP Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Private Wealth Advising.
