Berenice Carrasquedo López, Mexican, graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Universidad Autónoma ""Benito Juárez"" de Oaxaca, with degrees in Business Law and Financial Law at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and specialized in banking law at the Universidad Panamericana.
With experience in public and private trusts, real estate development and structuring of credit since 1999, first in the National Fund for Tourism Development (FONATUR) as Corporate Legal Assistant and coming to serve as Deputy Director at Nacional Financiera, S.N.C., an institution in which she participated in various technical committees, she had a relevant participation in the formation of the first trusts of the development banks to manage defined contributions.
From 2008 to 2011 she served as Managing Director and Partner of Firm Garcia Madrazo y Asociados, SC firm specializing in legal, financial and fiduciary. From 2010 to 2011 she was deputy chairman of the Financial Commission in CONCAMIN (Confederación de Cámaras Industriales de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos). From 2012 to 2015 she was Deputy Chairman of the Mexican Chapter of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).
To this date she is a founding partner of the firm BFC Asesores, SC firm specializing in Family office services, advising, structuring and implementation of public and private trusts, as well as advice on financial matters and corporate law. She is involved in working with family businesses, family protocol, structuring in Mexico and Foreign Jurisdictions.
Former Chairman of the Mexican Chapter of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), Former Deputy Chairman of STEP Caribbean and Latam Region, and permanent member of the Board of the STEP Latam Conference.
