Matthew Fleming

Matthew is a Partner in the Group, responsible for helping clients develop their intergenerational strategies and implement plans for passing on their legacy to subsequent generations.

Having left Eton college Matthew joined the Army in 1984, he was commissioned in the Royal Green Jackets serving in Northern Ireland, Hong Kong and Germany. He left the Army to pursue a career in professional cricket and represented Kent and England until his retirement in 2002.

He joined Fleming Family and Partners in 2003, a business in which he has held various positions including Managing Partner of Fleming Media and a Director of Ian Fleming Publications and James Bond Enterprises. He is a 5th generation member of the family following on from his farther Valentine who worked in the business for 55 years.

Matthew has also held a number of external non-executive appointments, including ten years as a Director of the England and Wales Cricket Board and was President of the MCC in 2017. He was a Director of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and Chairman of AGL Communications.
