Valeria advises companies, families and individuals on sensitive issues regarding domestic and international tax law and tax planning. Before joining GSHR, she has worked for 12 years at the Tax Law department of Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal and –previously- at the Legal Division of the United Nations in Vienna (Austria). She holds a Master's Degree in Tax Law from the Argentine Catholic University and participated in the International Tax Law Course at Leiden University (The Netherlands). Valeria is a Certified International Compliance and Ethics Officer by the Asociación Argentina de Ética y Compliance.

Valeria is a professor on various postgraduate courses on Tax Law at the Argentine Catholic University and also at the University of Miami's Law School. She is the author of four books on tax law and winner of an award from the Taxation Section of the International Bar Association for her paper on Resolution of International Tax Disputes. Valeria has spoken at several conferences and seminars in Argentina and abroad, including IFA, IBA, ABA and ILADT sessions. She is the president of the Tax & Legal Committee at the Argentine-Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Buenos Aires. She coordinates the Tax Proceedings Committee at the Argentine Fiscal Association. She was ranked by Chambers & Partners and by Legal 500 as leading professional in her area of expertise. She has been awarded by International Tax Review as “Leading Female Tax Practitioner” within its ranking “Women in Tax Leaders”.
